Petite histoire résumée de Jersey. Little history of
Jersey.
If you are not interested you can go more loin, after
the blue.
Différents noms : Andium (IVème siècle), Insula
Gersoi (1022) Jersey (1372).
Thursday 25
mai :
RV
Granville : 8 o’clock Départ of the boat : 9 h (the travel : 1h30).
St-Hélier : 9h25 (french hour moins
1)
The embarquement by
Granville and the courageous Curious of Nature on the boat.
Libération square
and libération station of bus.
calme !
The chemin to the
camping (one little english km) with our bagages.
Enfin ? C’est juste
mon avis.
After these
aventures it is decided to retake the bus to make some courses in Saint-Hélier and also to degusted a very good ice
rafraichissante with cream of the good cow Jersiaises.
The queue to the
ices who have very much success.
For the journey,
it is not so bad and it is time to install in the camping and to prepare a
little diner english-french well merited.
Friday
26 mai :
In the little
matin after a (very) good night, the Curious are preparing to take again the
bus and go to La Lande du Ouest, La Côte, Corbière, the names, hier, tout en
french.
In the place we
take beautiful sentiers who smell very good.
Hier is a little
papillon of day that name is, except error of my part : Callophrys rubi,
But there are so
many beautiful species of faune and flore that I cannot write all, example this
photo before :
You can see hier,
beautiful flowers the name is Lampranthus auriantacus. It is dommage
that in others places there was the envahisseuses « griffes de
sorcières » in the place
And now it is good
time to eat a little pic-nic, for us made of french saucisson and english bread
of mie.
You can see hier
one guide (of back) with on the right a little french stagiaire of botanic. The
gentle guide explain that there are 2 differents species of ronces, one with 3
feuilles and one with 5 feuilles, and also 2 sortes of rumex maritimes with one
very rare. And further in the dunes, the botaniste was surprise to find one
orchidée (Orchis bouc) that she said it was a découverte for the island,
instead in the continent, we have many orchis bouc !
The
day, to day, was so hot that a part of the Curious are obliged to make a little
pause in the shadow of the trees.
Fait
hot again in the baie of St Ouen !
Finally assoifed, we
take a drink at the café-restaurant « Le Braye », Saint-Brélade,
and some courageous of us have take a bath in the sea very cold.
After that two
options were proposed : to visit the reserve natural of oiseaux
« Westland Visitor Centre » or to go back to the camping.
And now, here is
the incident of the bus : Many of members of the association want to take
the bus, but the bus was full and the chauffeur can not take all of us, to
Saint Hélier and we have after that an other bus to take in the Liberation
Station ! But you dont now, friend lecteur, the devouement of certain of
us, in the bus, they ask the chauffeur if it is possible to have a
« suppléméntaire » bus for the rest of the troup. The lost voyageurs
thank very much the solidarity of our association and particulary our friends
Odile and Patrick who speek very well english, car, finally they are safe and
can return Beuveland Campsite, except Cedric who have done the head and wanted
to walk alone !
To enjoy that
dangerous retour, the Curious prepare a good and convivial apéritif with rosé
and bier and many little things to grignoted.
And, as usefull,
is organised after the diner the well known « chasse aux papillons »
who make the great reputation of our association. And it was a good one,
because we notified more than 40 species of differents butterflies and also
some « french-english hanneton » : melolontha melolontha. Personnaly, I have identified, above all
reserve, with my photos, others micro-moths : Tortricidae : Pandemis cerasana, Clepsis rurinana, Pammene
regiana, Cnephasia SP, Eupoecilia angustana.
Saturday
27 mai :
Direction, always
by bus with our card « Avanchicard of Libertybus », to the « Grève
de Lecq »
After a voyage
except incident, our friends arrive to the marvellous site of this north coast
of the isle very different of the south coast because it is more sauvage and
the coast is with rocks. The association climbs alertally the bigs rochers
(cliff path) to see the magnific vue and to trie to see the boat of Hubert who is
croised in the parage in the brume.
Instead of a cloudy
sky, we can apreciate the beautiful paysage that is offert in front of us (My
photo is arranged : more colors)
A french pic nic
See with my
photo : a micro moths in the
dunes : Opostega salaciella
The site of the
Greve de Lecq is very known in France and that is why the café-restaurant
propose good cuisine (near french cuisine), but sadly we have prepared one
light pic-nic. Happily there was good ice cream, here, to degusted.
And now : Camarades,
let’s go to the « Trou du Diable » Brrrr !
You can see the
great paysage of the coast « Les Reuses , Crabbé » Happilly the
sun recoms.
See with my photos : a Lasiocampidae in
chenille : Malacosoma neustria, and
a micro-moths : Choreutidae :
Anthophila fabriciana
See also :
l’Ile Agois : Little island with 27 cabanes et 2 bâtiments constructed many
years ago, site of occupation préhistorique and of 7/8ème century
after JC.
The savage equiped
in the Jungle
In the hole of the
devil we see a big hole, a Pigeon Biset and a Great Corbeau !
Then, it is the
return, and a little group of Curious are going directly to Gorey to see the
harbour, but they were a little fatigués, and they come back home.
And, surprise,
they were attendus by goods pizzas that they croked by full teeth because the
temperature was a little more fresh, of course the all arrosed with good ale
and french rosé wine.
In the dessert,
the public have the privilege to see and hear the famous group « The
Pinkie Sisters » well known by the medias to day. They interprete their
favourite song specially in french for us : « J’suis l’poissonneur
des Lilas » impossible to translate in english.
1 - Quand les Curieux vont à Jersey,
Ils prennent le bus 3, 13 ou bien 23,
Et quand ils envahissent la place,
Bla bla,… (4 more time)
Refrain :
Vin rosé,
cacahouètes, bière et saucisson,
On rassemble les
tables,
On écarte les
chaises ?
L’apéro c’est
sacré,
On peut pas y
couper
Un plan A un plan
B, on fait ce qui nous plait
2 – Attention Flo aux nids de poule,
Car quand tu tombes, ça fait vraiment mal
Isabelle a toujours l’remède,
S’il vous faut de l’aide
Pour soulager tous vos p’tits maux,
C’est la tente qu’il vous faut
Refrain
3 – Quand le bus est trop plein,
Il faut savoir être malin
Merci Patrick et Odile
C’était utile
De faire venir un bus en plus
Pour nous ramener au camping.
Parti sur un rythme endiablé,
Cédric nous a tout de suite lâchés
Même s’il a pu attraper un bus
En passant par la case frisson
Arrive en retard à la maison
Refrain
4 – L’Hydrophilidae
aquatique,
Very
good traduction : A little number of happy lurons are going to have a good
evening in the nearest pub : a little ale and a little bowling make the
affair.
Sunday
28 mai :
This morning each
tente must clean and must make the baggages. After that it is decided to make
what we want till the departure of the boat at 6 o’clock
Et re « un
p’tit coup of bus » for St Hélier to put the luggages to the consigne.
doux (Jersey Botanic Gardens at Samares
Manor).
The magnific
japanese garden
And now go to the
embarquadère !
The retour was as
the départ except the temperature was not so good in the boat. It was orageous
but the color of the sky was very spécial.
On the deck du bateau our friend Jersiais tell us good bye
with special light in the sky.
Beautiful photo
souvenir d’Odile. Thank you. Your wellcom.
First conclusion
Second
conclusion in English
From the opinion
of all the participants, this very very good com’nat must be being organisated
once more and in an near future of preference if you please. Thanks to the
great organisatrice Gabrielle who has also permitted to many Curious to make
very much progress in english, as you can see in my perfect compte-rendu !
